Stepping Stone Corallina Napa Valley Syrah Rosé – 2012 – 9.2 (92/100 Pts) – James Meléndez

Such a beautiful and nuanced Rose — gorgeous, highly polished notes of wild strawberry, fennel, pink rose petal, white tea, just roasted pine nut, and delicate essence of gardenia.

  1. Good to see you reviewing a rose’. I absolutely love rose’. A couple of years ago I was visiting a local winery and the owner suggested I try one of their new wines. When he held up his rose’, I felt the dread come over me. What if I didn’t like it, what if I offended him. I just knew it was going to taste like a white zinfandel – BUT, it was tart strawberry with perfect tannins and made your mouth water. I have been on a rose’ quest ever since! I will look for the Stepping Stone!
