Wine videos—video channes on YouTube and Vimeo are important but will become increasingly important. First, to give colour that the written blog cannot always do. Moving image, voice, ambiance and visual presentation.
I am a devotee to YouTube’s How To videos. An impressive collection of how to do hat might seem like only bits and pieces in say software applications and hardware—but those bits and pieces like a caped crusader saves the day. I have looked for “written” solutions on line and they are sparse or don’t tackle the subject I am seeking. And perhaps like the written blog the movement toward video can be successful as long as there is continuity in terms of videos appearance and acceptance. A video channel with spotty or not well-produced videos may only garner a small percentage of it’s full potential. While many people seek written means of information—many more are seeking videos—a dynamic means of presentation.
Wine videos can be like that and have such a capability to give depth, breadth and colour (not just visual but overall presence.
