This is not a 100% Sangiovese but with a Bonny Doon twist is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Nero d’Avola, 3% Cinsault, and 2% Colorino. Even though this is a predominate Sangiovese the 10% that is not has grape varietals that are not common in the U.S. but these play well together. Wonderful cranberry, pomegranate, cinnamon, and toasted almond notes are pronounced. A great wine to drink with starters or by itself as a cocktail wine.
