Azzaro Vineyards Sonoma Valley Limited Reserve Zinfandel – 2003 – 8.7- James Meléndez / Jaime Patricio Meléndez

Compared to 2004 and 2005 vintages this Zinfandel was less interesting; a less complex acid and tanninic structure; strawberry, cranberry, and subtle sweet spices.

Azzaro Vineyards Sonoma Valley Limited Reserve Zinfandel – 2004 – 8.8 – James Meléndez / Jaime Patricio Meléndez

Similar to 2005, however the tannic experience slightly less viscous; similar profile with respect to baking spice and rich red berry and smoked chile.

There are surprisingly similarities between 2004 and 2005 though the 2004 the spice is slightly in the background and a bit more subtle than the newer vintage.
