I am obsessed with wine and I want a snap shot in time. Remembering a wonderful bottle is not so that I don’t forget the label information but to some how reflect on this bottle in all the goodness it gave – special dinner, occasion and the people enjoying this wine. I also want to reach back for that wine experience again—though I can never capture this particular bottle and vintage quite the same way I always have some memory.
I have tried the wine label removers and without great success. More often than not the sticky film captures nothing; occasionally you will swipe some of the image and rarely the complete label. We’ll I am done with these attempts and I have resorted to using my digital camera to capture the label. It is an easy solution—immediate image confirmation—worst scenario you may have to take another picture. I like to keep the image of special bottles and it is fun to see the evolution of the label over time. No more wine stickers for me—I have an image that I can place, no more one time use, but utilize as often as I want and retain in my photo library.
