Hamilton Russell Walker Bay Pinot Noir – 2006 – 8.7 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

This wine like it’s South African brethren have a very noticeable and distinct touch in their red wines; a wildness; a highly pepper-spiced accent that can only describe this special wine region.  This wine is a bit different than many Pinot Noir in that this wine gives a long and lingering black pepper; spicy red pepper and begins and continues with a richness that only comes from Pioppini mushroom.
