Viña Robles Paso Robles White Blend – 2008 – 8.9 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

This wine is composed of 41% Verdelho, 26% Vermentino, 22% Sauvignon Blanc, and 11% Viognier; a complex white blend; this wine exhibits notes of Cala Lily (some people have asked me about this note—and there is a distinct quality of freshness, greenness and a hint of butter); with my descriptor of a Cala Lily I don’t mean this wine has a buttery quality; in addition to a floral notes there is a burst of white pepper, Mission fig and rich nutty complexity. This wine is 14.6% alcohol.
