Mendoza is nearly synonymous with Malbec; Chile produces Malbec but at much lower quantities.  This wine which is 70% Malbec and 30% Petit Verdot highlights and shows how good a Chilean Malbec can be—the admixture of Petit Verdot makes for a bold and complex wine; black cherry, nutmeg, fennel and mushroom.
