Demystifying Wine

Koutsoyiannopoulos Santorini Assyrtico – 2007 – 8.8 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

A refreshing and wondrous Assyrtico; splendid almond, biscotti, cinnamon and a slight amount of nutmeg; a great wine with shell fish or as a stand-alone.

¡Salud!

Sigalas Santorini Assyrtiko – 2005 – 8.9 – James Meléndez /James the Wine Guy

Ahhh…. what a Greek beauty. This wine encompasses and encapsulates a gorgeous wine that if you served to your guests they would probably keep lifting their glass. Probably few would be asking about the wine label or even the varietal. This wine gives a unique flavour profile that you immediately know is not any other white. This wine imparts white peach, honeydew, white kiwi and a touch of ground clove. This is an exotic wine that deserves to be enjoyed frequently.
