Clones:
- 777
- Pisoni
Quite dark; an exemplary bottling of Pinot Noir but also a testament to how Pinot Noir is adaptable to very cool regions. Adaptable..Pinot Noir… well fussily of course. Early season dark cherry, essence of allspice, nutmeg and Tamarind finishing with truffle.
¡Salud!

Aeshna Doctor’s Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir – 2009 – 9.1 – James Meléndez / James The Wine Guy
Something magical about Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noirs…. Now I do like the word ‘magical’ to describe a complexity of characteristics that build for a wine that is greater than the sum of its components. And I hope that the word magical is not mistaken as mystical insofar as a descriptor for wine.
Blueberry, vanilla, Mexican cinnamon, slight trace of Oaxacan spices and lobster mushroom.
¡Salud!
