Page Mill Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Pope Valley Syrah – 2005 – 8.9 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

I like this winery because though they are based in Livermore Valley they go to the many California wine countries to source their juice that becomes their wine. This Syrah is bold, well structured and gives gorgeous characteristics that sets it apart from it’s Australian brethren; the wine exhibits mocha, Eucalyptus, underbrush, Sarawak black pepper, and boysenberry.
