Germano Ettore Brut Piedmonte – 9.0 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

A sparkling wine from Italy that is sometimes is confused as Prosecco; but it is not—this is a classic Brut sans Pinot Meunier; this wine  is Chardonnay and Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) .  This is a bright wine with poached Comice pear, toasted almond and Brioche.

¡Salud!

This Barbera is quite dry presents with considerable and bold acid; Boysenberry, vanilla, pine and cedar forest, underbrush, plum confit, and ground mace.  A lovely wine that is nice with food and equally nice as a stand alone wine.
