Bibich Reserva North Dalmatia Red Blend – 2007 – 9.0 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

This is a blend of varietals that are related to the Zinfandel grape: 1/3 Babich 1/3 Lasin and the final third is Plavina.  Superbly high acid; low alcohol of 12.8%.  Recommend this wine with food– a delightful wine to pear with pizza. Notes of seared cranberry, plum, baking spices, vanilla and slight pepper.   Welcoming and reassuring scents of wood burning, sweet spices and lavender.
