Szöke Matyas & Zoltan Mátra Irsai Oliver – 2008 – 8.8 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

Irsai Oliver is a relative of the Muscat and hence is very familiar to palette.  Vibrant acid; low alcohol.  This wine gives notes of grilled Seckel pear, white pitted fruit like nectarine, peach and pepper.  The scent is cedar box and spice rack.

Tokaji upstages the non -stickies similar to Portugal’s Ports being the flagship and eclipsing it’s dry wines.  This wine perfect for SE Asian food like Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese.  A great find at only $9.99 at K&L Wine Merchants in San Francisco.

¡Salud!
