Petite Sirah is sometimes like a bulldog… it’s the wine only a mother could like… Petite Sirahs are one of the most uneven red wines in California and very from vintage to vineyard. I can try 10 PSs in a row and each can be so different from the one next to it. All one needs to do is to try the wrong Petite Sirah and you might swear off this wine forever.
This wine shows it’s gleaning Howell Mountains glorious summer sun and packs beautiful fruit and spice in this bottle; this wine is inky, abundant in acid and tannin; gives vanilla, Acai, Venezuelan dark chocolate, ground Clove, black Tellicherry Pepper. A wonderful wine served best with a rich beef dinner.
