Santiago Ruiz Rias Baixas Albariño – 2008 – 9.2 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

This wine gives reminiscent notes of mid-summer—the white pitted fruit– Arctic Supreme white peach, white nectarine, slight truffle honey, and herbed cashew.  It is apparent that this mainly Albariño (70%) and has nuanced and subtle complexity of having these varietials added to this wine: 15% Loureiro, 10% Treixadura and 5% Caiño Blanco and Godello.

Ladera Sagrada Castelo do Papa Godello Valdeorras – 2006 – 8.7 – James Meléndez / Jaime Patricio Meléndez

Dry crisp and delectable white wine from Galicia. The wine deserves food; white fish and shellfish; abundant acids compliment the dried almond, fall straw and a touch of honeydew.
