This wine is 63% Mourvèdre, 19% Syrah, 13% Grenache, and 5% Counoise.  Nicely layered. Supple tannins; Ripe bramble berries, smoke, chocolate and Pioppini mushroom; and scented from a heavily wooded forest.

This wine is 38% Mourvèdre 23% Syrah 23% Grenache and 15% Counoise.  And presents with notes of reduced dark cherry, nutmeg, Chanterelle mushroom and scent from a plum orchard.

A distinct varietal; abundance in acid; considerable finesse.  This wine presents with notes of roasted red plum and cherry, amalgam of Pioppini and Crimini mushroom, and finishing with a brooding of winter spices.

This wine contains – 27% Grenache, 27% Mourvèdre, 25% Syrah, 13% Counoise & 8% Cinsault; a interesting wine that does not have; a predominate or grape that overwhelms the other varietals. This wine is sophisticated and bold and yet elegant; blackberry, plum, Morel mushroom.

Beckman Vineyards Santa Ynez Valley Cuvee Le Bec – 2005 – 8.6 – James Meléndez / James the Wine Guy

This is a very interesting Rhone varietal blend. This wine contains 53% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre and 5% Counoise. This wine presents with a nice acid structure and the blend offers evenness and medium baked red fruit, white pepper, cinnamon and allspice.
