Tajinaste Valle de La Orotava Blanco – 2006 – 8.9 – James Meléndez / Jaime Patricio Meléndez

This is a remarkable wine; the varietal is Listán Blanco and shows promise and for me a desire to get my hands on more wines from the Canary Islands.  This is a gorgeous wine; elegant structure.  The wine presents with an abundance of dry fruit:  crisp green melon, mission fig, Kaffir lime; the acid is phenomenal.  Get carried away with this wine; easy as a stand-alone wine and elegant with an array of shellfish and seafood.

¡Salud!
