This wine is 80% Cabernet Franc 20% Merlot; this is a fine wine; this is also a romantic wine that fills a niche that Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir don’t quite reach; soft and supple tannins; red roasted plum, Raspberry coulis, rose petal and slight Pioppini mushroom.

This wine is a blend of predominately Cabernet Franc with Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon; the wine has central notes of red plum, red cherry, winter savory spice and blanketed with underbrush.

This wine contains the following: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Paso Robles a under rated wine region in California. This wine contains beautiful silky tannins, well balanced and complex; Chanterelle mushrooms, ground mace, Fall leaves, and plum confit.

This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 60%; Merlot 34%; Cabernet Franc 4%; Petit Verdot 2%.
This wine did not have the complexity and richness that I expected; I did detect red raspberry, underbrush, Porcini, cedar and ground clove.
¡Salud!

An anticipatory label which gives the wrapping of what is to come. The evocation of the mysterious substance also known as wine–imagine if wine just came in a clear white bottle and no paper or etchings letting you know it’s contents. The power of the purple label harkens to it’s Sonoma County roots; the love for wine and the sign of artistry in a bottle. This is a nice wine that can be enjoyed with food or a stand-alone wine; the touch of wood works in synergy with the alcohol, acid and fruit; this wine contains 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine exhibits a deep inky color; wondrous notes of rose petal, cinnamon, Turkish fig, smoke, forest floor and Chanterelle mushroom. This wine I find for under $16-17 a bottle.
¡Salud!

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc.
I anticipate and look forward to each bottle of Grand Puy Lacoste that I have been blessed to taste; may seem a bit dramatic but it is a wine and winemaker that produce an amazing wine vintage over vintage; in spite of weather conditions this wine is filled with character and pure elegance. This wine is emotive and evocative and quite nearly haunting. This wine exhibits generous spice, wood, acid, and fruit; nutmeg, saffron, dark cherry, cedar, raspberry confit, Poblano chile, and clean mineral.

A thick, highly viscous wine (tannins of plenty) provide a wonderful frame to stitch this wine together. This wine gives an elegant earthy tone, field mushroom, Boysenberry, spicy wood, and Enoki.

This wine is half Pinotage, with remaining components of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Only a mother or a fan of this curious grape can truly appreciate a Pinotage. Pinotage a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault grapes is so distinctively different from all other grapes. No need for South African Winemakers to worry that this grape might be overtaken in another land. This is the only wine grape that I have tried to appreciate but cannot find a way to enjoy. It is gamey and has an unpleasant spice (a spice that I am not sure exists) and always presents with a very medicinal finish. The Pinotage in this blend overtakes the other varietals as if they were not present. I remember the first Pinotage, I purchased (Fairview) and I was hoping it would be a blissful Pinot Noir like experience — I was, no doubt, terribly disappointed.
