Scent notes of juniper forest, leather, simmering Oaxacan spices and chiles and underbrush.

Flavour notes of Acai, blueberry, amalgam of bramble berry, smoke, white mushroom, anise, bay leaf and Cardamom.  A gorgeous wine, great acid structure– an accidental and solid find.

Castello di Amorosa Late Harvest AV Gewürztraminer – 2011 – 9.3 – James Meléndez

Small package; wondrous nectar. I love the sticky category– highly under-rated. Gorgeous to pair with desserts like cheese or Crème Brûlée.

Winemaker Brooks Painter crafts a superb wine. Notes of basted comice pear, fresh crisp Spitzenberg apple, passion fruit, truffle, just roasted and shelled pine nuts, and herbaceou notes of sweet basil.
