I was surprised this Tempranillo was better than I expected; a different Tempranillo compared with those across the Atlantic; distinct wine; venerable flavors of dark red fruit confit, almond, Heirloom tomato, Guajillo chile.

While I am disappointed with Melville’s current Pinot Noir vintage; I thought this Chardonnay was strikingly bold and distinct; truffled honey, sweet lime zest, Oyster mushroom, and hazelnut.

This is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot. A very nice Cabernet Sauvignon; the Petit Vedot adds to the complexity of this wine; this wine gives a great homage to both counties; an interesting nose to toast, Heirloom tomato, earth, chocolate-cinnamon.
