Arancio Nero d’Avola Sicilia exhibits stewed dark cherry, warm winter spices and elegant cedar notes. A nice wine for Monday through Thursday dinners.
¡Salud!

Aquinas Napa Valley Pinot Noir had a synth cork; immediate disappointment; the wine was tart and had some heat from the black pepper.
¡Salud!

This is the best of the Woodhead Pinot Noirs that I have tasted; harmonious acids; beautiful structure; abundant dark cherry, plum, Eastern simmering spices, and Turkish fig.
¡Salud!

A Pinot Noir from Humboldt County? This Pinot Noir had familiar characteristics but the acids did not stitch together the fundamentals of the varietal. Some rose petal, Malabar freshly ground pepper, and cranberry.
¡Salud!

50% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, 10% Bonarda, 5% Merlot; a rich and complex wine; a wine that speaks to it’s homage that could only come from South America – the Malbec and Bonarda give a distinctive quality; this wine gives black currant, blueberry, cooked cherry, plum orchard, a plethora of winter simmering spices. A nice expression to good taste.

A sparkling Torrontés? A very interesting wine—aromatic; slivered almond, green apple, markedly different than any sparkling wine that you have experienced.
¡Salud!

Zinfandel from Russian River Valley? Yes.
This Zinfandel gives breadth; I like Zinfandels that have character and a diverse flavor profile. This is one of these Zinfandels. This wine gives eucalyptus, currant, sandalwood, and marjoram.
¡Salud!
