J’adore Sonoma Coast Pinot Noirs. Sonoma Coast is one of the most vivid and haunting of all Pinot Noirs (well that is next to Burgundy—but nothing compares to Burgundy). Sonoma Coast is original and distinctive from Pinot Noir in Oregon, New Zealand, Carneros and Central Coast. Sonoma Coast is highly pronounced with gorgeous fruit equally balanced with spice and touched by the right amount of acid and of course it is vitreous. This wine gave me an abundance of raspberry flambé, ground clove, ground red pepper, and the lauded rose petal. A gorgeous Pinot Noir.
