This wine exhibits scents from a winter eve’s fire, cedar and burning juniper; baking notes of cardamom and cinnamon and a dash of raspberry confit.

I enjoyed the Pascual Toso Reserva Malbec only slightly more than the non-reserva Malbec. But I was not in love with either; if I had to choose I would select the reserva.
This wine exhibits persimmon, fleshy plum, pecan and fall leaves with a hint of allspice.

A nice and inexpensive bit of bubble for a relaxing Friday night pizza; a very approachable sparkler with citrus zing, almond and fresh baked bread.

I am a fan of Nieto Senetiner wines. I anticipate this Bodegas wines with welcomed appreciation. You can look at my other ratings for other Nieto Senetiner Malbecs. They are well crafted and do differ vintage to vintage but these bottles are capsules in time for wines that speak to the terroir at that moment in time the grapes were picked. The wine has bold spice - cardamom, cinnamon; warm cedar, and wondrous blackberry and cassis.
A wine rich with velvety tannins; splendorous black confit fruit, nutmeg, cedar, anise and oyster mushroom.

A very well structured wine; inky, dense, romantic; silky and viscous tannins make you stop and enjoy the wine. Lovingly you can detect abundant layers of cedar, bramble, underbrush, forest floor; a complete treasure trove of winter’s scents and flavors. Joyous ground glove, Turkish fig, plum confit, and truffle.

A focused wine with a beautiful structure and acid that complemented a hearty beef meal that I served. Wonderful blackberry, cardamom, ground clove, Mission fig and blanketed with silky tannins.

Louis Jadot Beaujolais 2006 Gamay is a mild wine with subtle characteristics; slight acid, cinnamon, and strawberry. Excellent with grilled poultry, planked salmon.

Alfa Crux is an O. Fournier label. This is a blissful Malbec; very focused and elegant tannins: Chile Poblano, Black Krim tomato, piñon, Porcini, and boysenberry.

O. Fournier, a Spanish winemaker, produces beautiful wines in Argentina. This Syrah is not an Australian Shiraz nor is it a French wine; it is a soulful Syrah from Argentina. The wine is bold, beautiful balance of spice, fruit and brilliant acid. The wine exhibits wondrous allspice, cream, vanilla, Acai, suede, and cedar planks.
